Girls runners-up, boys 4th in state championship meet
The state championship races were held November 7th, the latest in the calendar they have ever been held. The day marks the end of a long season of work for most (several of the girls will continue to train for the Nike Southeast Qualifying race at Wake Med in late November) and all of the state's top distance runners get to toe the line against each other and see what each is truly made of.

Falcons run to top finishes at NC Runners Elite meet
The Falcons left school early Friday to head to Kernersville for the last Saturday invitational of the year—the NC Runners Elite Invitational. The field of teams for the race was huge, as many teams could not run the previous weekend due to weather, so roughly 100 high school entered the race. Girls finish runners-up in three races at muddy Greensboro Invite
The Falcons sent the girl's team to Hagan Stone Park in Greensboro Saturday morning for a rainy day of racing. The course was slow due to three solid days of rain, but the runners still put up some good times even on the wet, muddy course.

JV boys dominate, varsity boys 5th at tough Adidas Wolfpack meet
For the first time in several years, the Falcons competed in the Adidas/Wolfpack Invitational at Wake Med Soccer Park on September 19th. Only the boys raced in the event, though, as the girls have their sights set on racing in Greensboro next weekend. Green Hope runners impress at Friday Night Lights
The Falcons drove west on I-40 to Kernersville Friday afternoon for the inaugural Friday Night Lights Invitational at Ivey Redmon Park. Falcons post strong showing at Providence Invite
The Falcons traveled to Charlotte the weekend of August 28th for their first 5K of the year, the Providence Invitational. The day of racing has grown to include more than 2100 runners from North Carolina, as well as several other southern states.
