The final regular season meet took place on the morning of December 30th with very cold temperatures to start the morning.  The 1st set of races was a quad (vs. Apex Friendship, Millbrook, and Panther Creek), while the 2nd set of races was a tri (vs. AF and PC).

The boys varsity race began with the temperature at 31 degrees, but the boys really went after it.  Gavin Hansen set the pace early, but junior Ben Cale ran a very strong second half of the race to take the individual win and set a new career PR (16:27).  He was followed by Luke Young (PR of 16:30), Hansen (16:33), Jacob Kurak (16:37), Zach Taylor (PR 16:55), Andrew Vo (PR 17:01), and Kyle Davis-Isaac (17:13) as the boys won the quad team race.

The 2nd race of the day was the girls varsity race.  Once again Grace Boughton led the Falcons as she placed 3rd overall (20:48) and was followed by Kaela Brandon (career PR 20:52), Katie Foppiano (21:01), Reagan McDaniel (21:21), and Lisa Zhao (career PR 21:30).  The girls also won the quad.

For the boys tri-meet sophomore Anton Cedergrund set a fast pace early and was determined to get the individual win as he did with a new PR of 17:13.  Senior Alex Klevans was not too far behind in 17:22 and he was followed by sophomore Liam Young (career PR 17:30), freshman Dax Mahone (PR 17:49), and junior Davis Cuffe (17:53) as the boys cruised to the win.

The final race of the day included 3 GH girls.  Kylie Petee (22:58) pulled out the individual win over teammate Alice Emel (23:04).  Petee's win gave the Falcons 3 of the 4 individual winners on the day.  The top 7 boys and girls finishers from the day will race next week (January 6th) in the Tri-8 Conference Championship.
