Green Hope Cross Country

For the first time in GHXC history dual meet records were recorded.  The conference meet in early January will decide which teams ultimately move on, but with this unique Covid-impacted season conference records were needed in case the conference meet ends up being cancelled in January due to weather or other circumstances.  The top 4 teams at the conference meet (or based on regular season standings if there is no meet) will move on to the regional championship at Wake Med on January 16th.  This is the first year also that teams had to qualify for the regional meet.  

The boys completed their regular season with 6 straight wins after an opening season loss to a very strong Cary team to finish 6-1 and in 2nd place.  The girls finished the year at 5-2 to end the regular season in 3rd place.  Both teams look to have a pretty good chance to move on to the regional meet.  There is one more regular season non-conference race on December 30th against Apex Friendship and Panther Creek and the teams get ready for the postseason in January.  Good luck Falcons!
