The last invitational of the year was the Frosh-Soph Invitational at Beeson Park in Kernersville on Saturday October 12. Beeson Park is the site of the state championship meet on November 2, so many teams use the meet as a chance to preview the state meet course. Green Hope left some of its top 9th and 10th graders at home to train. Most teams in attendance ran all of their fastest underclassmen, but the GH girls still managed to place second and the boys third.

Leading the boys team was Patrick Stylski (17:28) and Michael Kolor (17:30). The two were followed by Matthew Horan (17:34), Brian Huitt (17:36), Sam Gallant (17:51), Owen Dreikosen (17:59), and Bryce Korabik (18:04).

Top scorers for the girls were Kayla Hall (19:54), Martina Savage (20:00), Samantha Kolor (20:04), Gillian Hagenus (20:09), Anastasia Horvat (20:11), Emily Jordan (20:12), and Julia Zwierzynski (20:28).

The next big race for the team is Wednesday, October 16, at Wake Med Soccer Park as the Falcons harriers run in the S.W.A.C. Championship. All runners will run. Race times are as follows:

  • Boys Varsity: 4:00
  • Girls Varsity: 4:25
  • Boys JV: 4:50
  • Girls JV: 5:20
