The Green Hope Girls won their 5th consecutive Mideast Regional title on Saturday at Wake Med Soccer Park. The girls cruised to a 12 point win over a strong Broughton team and now have their sights set on the state meet on November 3rd. The Falcons boy’s team ran well, but their season ended Saturday with a respectable 6th place finish in the region, as they were led by Tom Nobles 18th place finish in 16:22. The girls team had 6 finishers in the top 15 led by regional runner-up Mo McDonnell (18:10) and fellow all-region runner Kristen Lospinoso (18:54). Finishing in spots 11, 12, 13, 15, and 23 were Allie Worsdale (19:27), Theresa Enright (19:28), Kayla Hall (19:29), Julia Zwierzynski (19:37), and Katie Tomasi (20:04).

The girls race in the state championship Saturday, Nov 3, at 11:30am at Beeson Park in Kernersville.

2012 was also the 4th year in a row that Green Hope has hosted the Mideast Regional. Thanks to all of the volunteers who made the event a success once again.
